Restrictions
People with cardiovascular problems, pregnant women or children under 3 years of age are not allowed to take the cable car because of the risk of damage to their health due to the height.
According to current regulations, people with physical or motor disabilities are not allowed to take the cable car, due to the risk of evacuation.
It is important to bear in mind that in the event of the facilities ceasing to operate for unexpected technical reasons, people at the upper station would have to descend on foot along steep mountain trails.
The guided visit to the Teide Observatory is not recommended for children under 8 years of age.
Access by bicycle to the Teide Observatory is prohibited.
Changes and cancellations
In the event of weather conditions preventing the visit to the Teide Observatory, the amount corresponding to the entrance fee to the Observatory will be refunded. In the event of cloud cover at the Observatory, the usual itinerary of the contracted visit may be modified.
In the event that weather conditions do not permit the operation of the cable car for the cable car activity, the corresponding amount for the cable car will be refunded.
