With 3,718-meter (12,198 ft) Altitude Mount Teide is the highest point in Spain. Mount Teide and its surroundings comprise the Teide National Park. The park was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. One of the biggest attractions to visit in the whole Canary Islands.
The Volcano is still active and the last eruption was in in November 1909.
