Beach of El Socorro in the North of Tenerife

Playa de El Socorro, also known as Playa de Chimisay, is a very attractive beach for both tourists and locals, thanks to its unique black volcanic sand.

It is perfect for spending a pleasant time with the family, thanks to the waves breaking far from the shore. In addition, the light-moderate swell makes it the preferred choice for amateur and semi-professional surfers. In fact, national and European surfing competitions have been held at El Socorro Beach.

The clean and clear water, as well as the well-kept sand with few stones, have made it a Blue Flag beach for more than 20 years, which makes it one of your best options when visiting the north of Tenerife.
